We truly enjoyed our Project Mexico experience! Despite the drizzle and mud, a new home was built and new friendships forged, old friendships were renewed, and we all lived an Orthodox-only life for the week, disconnected from the distractions of the world. I am always transformed by this experience and hope you were as well.
Theresa Regan Keener, Organizer
At Project Mexico and St. Innocent Orphanage, we believe in the transformative power of homebuilding. Through our volunteer programs, we work alongside local communities to construct safe and secure homes for families in need. By providing shelter, we offer more than just a roof overhead – we provide a foundation for a brighter future. Join us in our mission to build hope, one home at a time.
Our program offers a one-day to one-week practicum in volunteer service learning as a community group from your parish, youth group, college OCF chapter, or team. As a volunteer or group leader, we will prepare you to organize, train, fundraise and lead your group on your trip. We lead the program on-site, emphasizing the importance of serving others, following Christ’s example, and integrating this experience into your church and volunteers’ service. Our approach involves hands-on learning, reflection, and serving together.
